Our work led us to write a full-featured, reliable and extensible scripting language implemented in Java and providing access to many Java capabilities. The result provides a mechanism for fast and efficient development, deployment and maintenance of client/server applications. The Yoix interpreter does not rely on Java reflection classes to access Java capabilities, but rather uses programmatic methods. This approach allowed us to deliver the complex aspects of Java functionality more simply and succinctly at the Yoix level as well as achieve consistent behavior and portability across platforms. We also included many practical functions and capabilities for application development. Indistinguishable from Java applications to end-users, a Yoix application's interpreted nature allows scripts to be downloaded from a Web server and executed as needed by the application. This framework has been used successfully for mission critical applications within AT&T. The interpreter, its source, documentation, a completely functional application template and a large set of examples are freely available for download under open source licensing from the AT&T Labs—Research Web site at http://www.research.att.com/sw/tools/yoix/ or its alias http://www.yoix.org/. Interactive distributed visualization is an emerging technology with numerous applications. However, many of the present approaches to interactive distributed visualization have limited performance because they are based on the traditional polygonal processing graphics pipeline. In contrast, image-based rendering uses multiple images of the scene instead of a three-dimensional geometrical representation, and so has the key advantage that the final output is independent of the scene complexity and depends on the desired final image resolution. Furthermore, the discrete nature of the light field dataset maps well to a hybrid solution, which can overcome the identified drawbacks. In this paper, we propose an on-demand solution for efficiently transmitting visualization data to remote users/clients. This is achieved through sending selected parts of the dataset based on the current client viewpoint, and is done instead of downloading a complete replica of the light field dataset to each client, or remotely sending a single rendered view back from a central server to the user each time the user updates their viewing parameters. The on-demand approach shows stable performance as the number of clients increases because the load on the server and the network traffic are reduced. Furthermore, detailed performance studies show that the proposed scheme outperforms the current solution in terms of interactivity measured in frames per second.

Model Driven Engineering relies on the availability of software models and of development tools supporting the transition from models to code. The generation of code from models requires the unambiguous interpretation of the semantics of the modeling languages used to specify the application. This paper presents the formalization of the semantics of the Interaction Flow Modeling Language (IFML), a recent OMG MDA standard conceived for the specification of the front-end part of interactive applications. IFML constructs are mapped to equivalent structures of Place Chart Nets (PCN), which allows their precise interpretation. The defined semantic mapping is implemented in an online Model-driven development environment that enables the creation and inspection of PCNs from IFML, the analysis of the behavior of IFML specifications via PCN simulation, and the generation of code for mobile and web-based architectures.

We propose a service mobility architecture enabling network service providers (NSPs) to migrate the session states for particular UE to any service mobility capable node in the network without service disruption, and also to aggregate the servers because the UEs in one server are split into the other servers and the NSPs can turn off the server. The service mobility architecture is a novel communication paradigm and has the potential to offer the NSPs the powerful tools to achieve fine-gained service capacity control, energy saving, no disruption of communication and etc. Here, the key technology is virtual socket, named "socket chain". We introduce service mobility middleware including socket chain and API for client/server applications. A set of experimental evaluation reveals that the average processing delay which the session migration affects is small enough for the real-time applications.

In this 21 st century, India is the second largest populated country in the world. According to the future projection of population growth, India will reach more than 5.4 billion people around 2030. Population is concentrated more in urban areas than in rural areas. People prefer to travel by car than using a public transport system. As a result, the problem of traffic congestion increases heavily. In order to overcome the problem, a Real time ridesharing is proposed. This method is put into an operation by developing an Android application. Real time ridesharing is an extension of carpooling to best suite one's preferences using the data composed from Social networking. It enables users, particularly colleagues, classmates to share their vehicle among the fellow passengers to the same or nearby destination. The system gives real time guidance in a map, with addition to ridesharing. Users can either set their travel to be private or public by making to available to some of their friends using privacy settings. The concept can also be extended to taxis and rickshaws and can also be implemented in any other public transport systems. Execution can be done by integrating with social networking sites, by identifying the location using GPS. For simplicity this is mainly incorporated in mobile phones. The system supports the use of mass public transport system and taking a trip together will become obligatory to manage the depletion of fuel, making the atmosphere green and to control traffic.
